ID from Sean McCann's image, and the comments with it. Please correct me if this is wrong. Found on my Dogwood tree that is kind of under a large Live oak. Chilled and released.

I can't comment on the ID
(except to agree it does look like Sean's), but I love the spangles on this guy! Nice find!

Very nice! When I first found mine I was thinking it was some boring chrysomelid... Then seeing those surprising spots, I was taken aback. What an interesting little beetle!
