Pseudohylesinus tsugae (Swaine) - Pseudohylesinus tsugae

Pseudohylesinus tsugae (Swaine) - Pseudohylesinus tsugae
Coquitlam River Park, Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada
May 15, 2010
Size: 4 mm
I'm fairly sure about the genus ID; this keyed to P. tsugae from Bright (1976) due to the overall stout body shape, relatively convex elytral intervals and wide elytral striae. Most of the scales have been rubbed off from capture but there are still patches of them on the posterior end (declivity) of the beetle. Corrections welcomed
