Spider 9 - Dolomedes vittatus

Spider 9 - Dolomedes vittatus
Capen Park, Columbia, Boone County, Missouri, USA
March 1, 2003
Out on a cool day.

Moved
Moved from ID Request. I agree it matches this one well, just want to mention it can be hard to tell these apart from scriptus, so there is some chance it could be that species as well. Spider coloring and pattern can vary making species ID from photos difficult.

agreed
due to distinct leg banding pattern I initially thought teneb or script. the dark spot on the carapace and the white spots on abdomen are why i lean toward vittatus. microscopic anatomical features are the only way to go for positive id in this genus and many other spiders as well.

Dolomedes vittatus
Fishing spider. Great photos.
