Found under loose/shedding bark of living pine,appears to be something in Dicerca. Id appreciated.

I have only seen and ID'ed on
I have only seen and ID'ed one specimen of D. spreta. So I can't really ID this just by looking at the pics. I will just have to wait till I look at it under the scope.

Tentative ID
It appears to be Dicerca spreta; however, apparently the only known host is blackgum. I do not think any in this group use conifers, so perhaps your find represents only an overwintering place. I am reluctant to identify any of this group from a photograph. Send me the specimen!

you one im sure and concentrating on the same productive area.
