Leaf Hopper Nymph - Neocoelidia tuberculata

Leaf Hopper Nymph - Neocoelidia tuberculata
St. Lucie County, Florida, USA
April 23, 2006
Size: 4mm

Moved
Moved from Leafhoppers.

Cicadellidae
Not known to me.

Neocoelidia tuberculata
This identification is made by its resemblance to the adult, and by elimination of other possible leafhopper nymphs that are known.

Thanks
for the help.

Moved
to guide page.

If
it helps, it's antennae were as long or longer than it's body.
Unfortunately, I seem to have deleted the image of that and was unable to recover it. I will try to find another specimen.

Good job
Good job with so tiny a critter. I agree with your assessment, and maybe Dr. Andy Hamilton will tell us what family.

We're getting a huge group of photos of Cicadellidae adults. Maybe this summer we can add several dozen images of their nymphs.

& Maybe you can go back later and see if this fellow is still there in a later incarnation!
