Explanation of Names
Authors: Davis & Wagner, 2005
Range
The type specimen is from Key Largo, Florida; also recorded from Belize.
Food
Larvae mine in leaves of Pithecellobium spp.
Remarks
The larva is a sap-feeder in the first two instars, producing a translucent, serpentine mine. The third, tissue-feeding instar produces a blotch, which often obliterates the linear portion of the mine.
