Moved
Moved from Pseudaptinus hoegei to genus Thalpius based on my note below.

you coud simply move the entire species page...
...to another genus
any taxon page can be moved anywhere within the tree: this feature spares us the trouble of creating/deleting pages and moving images whenever taxonomic placement of a taxon changes or when new levels are added to a taxon (say, subgenera)

Navigating and editing is not my strength,
so please clarify what I did that was cumbersome? I simply don't recall the details. I thought I did move the species page to another genus, namely "Thalpius", as you suggested here.

Moved
Moved from Zuphiini.

Currently "Pseudaptinus (Thalpius) hoegei" but ...
for awhile I wish to retain at BugGuide the older genus rank "Thalpius" to expedite communication during my study of this group.

MCZ type images for Pseudaptinus (Thalpius) hoegei
appear here. Having recently examined several examples of true P.(T.) hoegei from Mexico in the Smithsonian Institution, I am not entirely convinced that this southeastern Texas specimen shows the necessary small eyes relative to long and gently curved temples. Closer examination would be needed to rule out cloudless P.(T.) horni or P.(T.) dorsalis. Exact body length in millimeters could be important additional information.
