Leaf-like moth - Prochoerodes lineola

Leaf-like moth - Prochoerodes lineola
Williamsburg, Virginia, USA
This moth is rather large and looks very much like a leaf. Anybody know what kind it is?

Geometrid
A geometrid of some sort. There are quite a few similar looking ones but this might be Prochoerodes transversata:

Can anyone say for sure. It's a good pic that we could add to the guide.

Prochoerodes looks good to me
Gosh, Troy, that looks good to me. Reading the desciption in Covell, he says it is similar to Curve-toothed geometer (Eutrapela clemataria, plate 55 #1), but that has scalloped edges on its wings. This moth does not. Covell lists as common. NCSU has 76 pinned, pretty common. One of the Maryland Moths photos is a dead ringer. Other images:

Insects of Cedar Creek
Bob Patterson--really knows moths well. One photo is very close.

I've seen Procherodes before here in Durham, I believe, I'll have to dig out the slide.

Summary: Procherodes transversata (now lineola?) looks good enough for me, for what that's worth.

Large Maple Spanworm
I agree - moved from Geometrid Moths section. Apparently, lineola is the only Prochoerodes species in the east.

(the old Maryland Moth link is dead, and the new one has no photo; the Cedar Creek link is currently inaccesible, as the site is down again)
