I just caught one of these just now in the same town, also have seen two more of these this week at my house. hadn't seen them til recently though so they must come out more when it gets cold because it just started getting cold here in Mobile this past week or so

Actually, the brown lacewings are present throughout the year. Probably more noticeable now because of lack of other things. I do see more psocids & springtails during the colder months. BTW you're welcome to go bug hunting down at Dog River, anytime.
