I suspect this is Scolopendra
I suspect this is Scolopendra polymorpha Wood, 1861, but it could be S. viridis Say, 1821, both of which occur in Kansas. From a photo, it is difficult to distinguish these two species in the Plains, just as it is difficult to distinguish S. viridis & Hemiscolopendra marginata in Florida, where both occur. In the Plains, S. viridis demonstrates this banded color pattern, which Florida & eastern populations don't show.
