Mating Pair - Idana marginata - Male Female
Herring Run Park, Baltimore City County, Maryland, USA

This mating pair and a couple other individuals of this species were observed visiting a gash in a tree for a couple days last summer. The weeping gash was popular with all manner of other lifeforms including (among others), Common Wood Nymphs, Anglewings, Red-spotted Purples, a Nessus Sphinx Moth, Eastern Cicada Killers, and various Paper Wasps.
