Mite001 - Tyrophagus

Mite001 - Tyrophagus
Vancouver, Clark County, Washington, USA
November 27, 2010
Size: 1mm
This mite appears to be a Rhizoglyphus sp. Perhaps R echinopus. Note the reddish legs.
About 1 mm long. "The spot on the back of the mite is a darker brown on the body tan color usually. The lighting on the microscope shot emphasized the darkness of it."
Would like to know what the spot is
Help with ID would be very much appreciated.
Thanks Jake.
