Leafhopper - Erythridula penenoeva

Leafhopper - Erythridula penenoeva
Houston, Harris County, Texas, USA
March 2, 2011
Size: 3 mm
Arboridia, but not sure of species.

Came to UV light. From reading Dr. Hamilton's comments on similar images, I'm betting the colors on this one aren't fully developed yet, either. The orange was very hard to see.

New home :-) In E. noeva, the dorsal surface of the abdomen is pale. In E. penenoeva, it is black/dark. You can see through the wings that the abdomen is dark.

Arboridia
Sorry, I'm no expert on the species of TX, but A. noeva is a northern species.
