Hunky beetle!
I'm always interested in details like how long it was, how it was found and so forth.

size, found where I wrote it.

Great
Thanks

Size.
I think it was about 30mm. I found it when I was walking through a part of my yard that is sand and bahia grass, but I think it was coming from an area where I let native weeds grow, and it might have been headed towards a little patch of woods about 15' from this area, it tried to hide under my shoe, so I scooped it up, and brought it in, then released it in the woods by a dead log.

Thanks Machele.
I saw you had given an approximate size on the first photo after I made my comment on the second :-)
