Cheraw, Chesterfield County, South Carolina, USA
April 24, 2006
Size: Approx. 1/2 in.
Pretty good mimic of a Yellow Jacket.

Typocerus zebra
Zebra Longhorn, Typocerus zebra, usually the first common flower longhorn to appear in spring. Good point about Yellow-jacket mimicry.
