Eastern Tailed Blue - Cupido comyntas

Eastern Tailed Blue - Cupido comyntas
Fairfield, Wayne County, Illinois, USA
April 21, 2006
One of the earliest to fly in our area (along with cabbage butterflies) but difficult to find in spreadwing pose. Thank goodness for cool mornings and warm mud. Anyhow, here's one for the databank from Illinois.

Female

Thanks
for the light!
