Dendrocharis? - Dendrocharis flavicornis

Re-evaluated my determination

After re-evaluated my determination on these series of images, I am not ashamed to being incorrect on my identification from time to time, and this is a good example. In preparation of my world revision of Dendrocharis, I found two really good features - that black bald spot on the top of the head and small circular patches of setae on the pronotum that's akin to eye spots are diagnostic features associated with Dendrocharis flavicornis as seen in these images.

I believe.....

I have a name for the eucnemid in question. Based on the evenly dispersed hairs on the abdominal sterna and elytra being even, I identified the eucnemid as Dendrocharis inexspectata Muona

The known range for the species.....

so far includes Alabama, Florida, Texas and Virginia. I will be working to add any info for the group next week, including a key.
