Great
images, Tom.
Request: the next time you encounter an adult male Habro, try to get a close up of the ornamentation on legs 3 (third pair from the front), if you don't mind.

Another angle
I've added one other shot that shows that marking on the third leg. I never noticed that before I saw these pictures, and noticed it has a spur above the orange mark.

Thanks
Tom. That is the ornamemtation I was refering to. Many adult male Habro species can be easily IDed by the modified legs 3 and some by legs 1 as well.

In that case
I think we have more than one species here. This has an orange circle with a black dot in the center. Compare with this other one with a green and black mark on the third leg.

It
is viridipes. There is color variation on the patella, but the black spot is generally consistent.
Legs 3 on adult male calcaratus look nothing like viridipes adult male legs 3.

Great work
I'll look for that third leg on the male Habros from now on. Thanks.

Habronattus
H. calcaratus also has some green on the foreleg but has some differences in the dorsal markings it appears. I have the big paper around here somewhere but I think you have H. viridipes here again.
Nice drawing of H. calcaratus:

There
may be variation in the coloration, but I think it is the shape, spines, and hairs that are key. Will get back to you on that.
