wasp - Ormyrus vacciniicola

wasp - Ormyrus vacciniicola
Ashburnham, Worcester County, Massachusetts, USA
Size: 2.5mm
This wasp came out of the same gall as this other wasp. Is this just the female of the same species?

Moved
Moved from Ormyrus. I checked the Catalog, and this is the only Ormyrus with this host (and as far as is known, it is specific to this host).

Ormyrus vacciniicola
Charley, thanks for getting one of these to species! I got lucky that only one wasp is a parasite to this gall.

Moved
Moved from "Parasitica" (parasitic Apocrita).
Thanks Don.

Ormyrus sp.
I may be wrong, but I think it is a hyperparasite of the other species (definitely not a member of the opposite sex). I suspect that if the Hymenoptera Catalog was consulted that a name could be put on the Ormyrus.
