Miridae? Swept from riparian vegetation along small stream.

Bryocoris pteridis (Fallén) --det. T.J. Henry
his comment: "The image is of Bryocoris pteridis (Fallén), a widespread Palearctic species not known to occur in North America. Can we get in touch with the photographer to obtain more specimens? Maybe Michael can get out there or possibly we could contact Geoff Scudder to get to that locality for more. Please keep me advised."

[sick stuff, man... =v=]

We live among aliens...
I've collected multiple specimens from several localities in my area. They seem to be confined to riparian vegetation along streams-possibly on ferns but I've also swept them from salmonberry bushes (Rubus spectabilis). I should be able to return to the original collection sites later in the season to find more specimens.

M.D. Schwartz: "best guess Ceratocapsus sp. female"
his comment: "get another and send it to me."
