Pygmy Grasshopper? - Tettigidea armata - male

Pygmy Grasshopper? - Tettigidea armata - Male
Montrose, Laurens County, Georgia, USA
March 14, 2011
Size: about 15 mm
I found this deep in a pine tree fissure, hence I couldn't get a decent side view. Can anyone tell if this is a teneral or adult form?

a male "Armored Pygmy Grasshopper"
Definitely adult. The pronotum is developed to full length, and the wings are sticking out behind it.
