Range
Apparently widespread in the tropics, including Costa Rica and the Galapagos, north at least to Texas.
Remarks
"Thesaurus of Agricultural Organisms: Pests, Weeds, and Diseases" suggests that A. texana and A. luridula are synonyms (and gives the common name "small cotton leafworm"). But MPG lists the two species separately. Very little background information is available on-line under either name.
