World Birding Center at Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park, Hidalgo County, Texas, USA
August 25, 2008
Took me a while to figure this one out; only the second species of Cossidae I have ever encountered. This individual was found resting on a shady sidewalk near the HQ buildings in the early afternoon. The others were typically seen late at night near the light in the maintenance yard.
