Amphigerontia montivaga (Chapman) - Amphigerontia montivaga - female

Amphigerontia montivaga (Chapman) - Amphigerontia montivaga - Female
Tyler, Smith County, Texas, USA
March 18, 2011
This is the subgenital plate from the female A. montivaga I caught on the U. T. Tyler campus. It more closely resembles Fig. 382 (montivaga) than Fig. 375 (bifasciata) in (1) and therefore keys to montivaga. According to Mockford "Subgenital plate as dscribed for A. bifasciata except egg guide slighty longer than a pigmented arm"
