Size: 22mm wingspan spread.
Came to black light. (live oak/chaparral habitat). Maybe a species of
Eupithecia
.

Eupithecia shirleyata
can be eliminated but I still think
subapicata
is more likley.

7587 – Eupithecia subapicata?
Very similar to 7587 – Eupithecia subapicata. Same for your other images
here

. I don't see any similar examples that have been DNA tested but they are close to Bob Belmont image at MPG
here
as well as other images in the guide identified by Jason D. Roberts and Maury J. Heiman.
Not sure if you want to move them to species but I see no reason for not moving to genus.
