I've wrestled through a few of my favorite moth ID resources for the northeastern US, but not yet figured out what this one is. Looks superficially like an underwing, but was much smaller and much earlier than any of the other species I saw here...

Thanks Randy, that does look like a match! Unless Bob himself weighs in otherwise... Interesting, neither the Guide or BAMONA shows the species for Massachusetts yet, though BAMONA at least has one for Connecticut.
