First spring bee - Andrena frigida - Male
Waltham, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA
March 30, 2011
Size: 8-9 mm
Locally common today. They spent most of their time sitting still. First bee at this location last year was Nomada bella. Maybe that species parasitizes this one.
