Looks like another imposter. Laterally, you can see the wide separation between the fore and mid coxae along with an elongated metallic body. Dorsally, you can see the incomplete parapsidal sutures and a long marginal wing vein. Females usually have a more flattened mesonotum (in males, more convex). Hosts include gall midges and gall wasps.

Chalcid!
Are you kidding me. Do any speckled gall wasps live in these speckled gall wasp galls? Are there any other photos I should try to get for a species ID?
