I'm guessing these are this species, judging by the BG images.

Guesses
The images in which you are basing this ID were also guesses. There are 17 species in the genus in Mexico and North America. How can we be sure? Perhaps we should move them all higher in the taxonomic tree and try to get help with the IDs.

Id specific to plant species?
Good point, Beatriz. I just threw this image in with the only other ones in all of BG. I know nothing about thrips, except that they are very small. Id'ing them from these images would be difficult, except if they are plant species specific. I see thrips on daisys up here every day, but the only other ones I have seen on another plant were on an evening-primrose, Oenethera biennis.
