Size: body - approx. 1 inch
For weeks, I have been stalking this poor spider who resides behind my electric meter box just outside my back door. It is a beautiful chocolate brown color, mostly smooth, and very shy. It comes out right after dark, but appears to stick close to home. After a couple of flashes from my camera, it scurries back behind its box. I haven't managed to get very good shots of it, but hopefully these will be good enough for an ID.

Southern House Spider?
I'm not an expert, but with that cribellate silk radiating out from the tube, along with the shape of the carapace and SC for a location I'll bet you have Kukulcania hibernalis:

but wait for one of the experts to be sure.

Thanks, Sara. That sure look
