Camp Creek, Sonoran Desert [east of the town of Carefree], Maricopa County, Arizona, USA

Size: ~ 1.5 cm
These flies were numerous and very active on the flowers of a riparian shrub.

I might be very very wrong, but it looks to me like Musca domestica. At least, it is probably something in Musca or close to it, as we can see the scimitar shaped cell.
