Pallid-winged Grasshopper species? - Arphia behrensi - female

Pallid-winged Grasshopper species? - Arphia behrensi - Female
Cascade Canyon near Fairfax, Marin County, California, USA
March 31, 2011

Your welcome
I'm pretty sure she is A. behrensi and the yellow wing color fits. About the only other candidates are Lactista or Chimarocephala, and she doesn't appear to be either of those.

Moved from ID Request.

It is a female Band-wing Grasshopper,
but not a Pallid-winged. I think it is probably Arphia behrensi. Do you have any other photos of her; perhaps showing different angles?

Thanks . . .
The insect did not allow any other shots from different angles, however, when she flew I could see her yellow wing coloration. Hope that helps some - - thank you very much for the identification help!
