Sepsis Fly? - Sepsis

Sepsis Fly? - Sepsis
Montrose, Laurens County, Georgia, USA
April 10, 2011
Size: 3-4 mm
This little bugger was a strange one. It danced and buzzed all over the surface of a creeper leaf, then sat long enough to give me an opportunity to shoot it. Did it several times, in fact. Nicely colored but that doesn't come through in the shots.;-( Judging by the wide space between the eyes, I presume this is a female?
