He's still a bit young to be able to tell for sure
by looking at his "male parts", but he looks like Melanoplus pictus to me. Definitely he's Melanoplus. M. pictus have a thing for Composites too (especially ones in the Aster Tribe), which is what this one is appears to be having for dinner.
