Andrenidae? - Nomada

Andrenidae? - Nomada
Briones Regional Park, Contra Costa County, California, USA
April 22, 2011
Size: 8mm-ish
Rather lethargic, probably because it was cool and gray. When disturbed it curled up and played dead rather then flying off.

Moved
Moved from ID Request.

Nomada
edwardsii species group

cleptoparasite of Eucera (Synhalonia)

I was in Briones today myself (my parents live in Lafayette) but didn't see any Nomada.

Thanks

There were a number of these along the Briones Crest Trail between Old Briones Road and Sindicich Lagoon. Was one of the few bright spots in a cool breezy morning.
