Dermacentor variabilis Dermacentor and Ixodes compared - male - female Ixodes - female

Moved
Moved from Ticks.

2 genera
Male Dermacentor, probably D. variabilis on the left. On the right is a female Ixodes sp. It could be I. scapularis, but I know there is also another common human-biting Ixodes in Maine.
