This was taken with a 70-200
This was taken with a 70-200 f/2.8L IS II lens and a 2X Mark III teleconverter as well as a 580EX II flash. This was my first chance to try this combo on insects and it performed really well. I think this is now my preferred rig for the larger, flying insects. It's a little sharper and gives somewhat more magnification than my previous favorite, the 300mm f/4L + 1.4X.
