caddis
I am not sure it is a lepidostomatid - wings look oddly shaped to me. You should add size to all caddis photos.

Size
As I had at the time no way of measuring it, I was unable to obtain any accurate measurement. I know that guesstimations are usually way off base, that was the other reason no size details were added.
My best guess and it is probably off by 2 - 3 mm either way would be 12mm body length. The unusual roundness of the wings as viewed from the side was what got my interest. Also the white tufts of hair on the wings was very prominent even without any magnification. As caddis are very common here, I will keep an eye out for future specimens.

white hairs
the white hairs were obvious to me as well - and many Lepidostoma males have all kinds of different wing structures. But I seldom see caddis from that part of the world so didn't want to venture a guess. If ya keep one I would be glad to look at it for you.

Probably Lepidostoma
If another placement is more appropriate, please advise.

Probably Lepidostoma
Jerry-

I believe this caddisfly is probably of family Lepidostomatidae and genus Lepidostoma, but let's leave it where it is for now, until Dave Ruiter has weighed in on it.

Moved for expert attention
Moved from ID Request. Must be a caddisfly of some kind.
