Idiocerus formosus
a pretty species from aspen; a male (note the black discs on the tips of the antennae, which only males of this genus have)

... for your ID and additional comments on this leafhopper. Aspen is a tree that occurs in small numbers in the woods around here. The forestry folks are making efforts to increase their numbers locally, so perhaps these leafhoppers will be on the increase around here also.
