ant - Formica

ant - Formica
Kunkletown, Monroe County, Pennsylvania, USA
April 25, 2011

Moved
Rather typical color for the locality. The synonymized variety "fuscata" was described from not far away.

Formica sp. (pallidefulva group) - worker
Despite this somewhat unusual dull brown color, length of antennal scapi (and small size of compound eyes) leaves no other possibility.
