Ants under old tin - Tapinoma sessile

Ants under old tin - Tapinoma sessile
Camass Wildlife Refuge, Jefferson County, Idaho, USA
April 29, 2011
Ants with ?larvae. Found under a piece of rusted tin.

Moved
This ant is the closest thing to a ubiquitous species of all North American species, occurring from low deserts (near oases) to high mountain meadows, fens, prairies, forests and all sorts of human habitat. The brood is mostly larvae of the winged sexual forms that fly in late spring.

Thanks for the ID, James
...and for the information.
