With the genus in hand, I tried keying out with Downie & Arnett; only two spp. fit the description:
C. sericeus
and
C. augustus
. (the two differ as far as I can tell, in an obscure characteristic of the shape of the metepisternum which I can't make out.)
Based on your ID and the fact that
sericeus
seems much more common, I think that's almost certainly the correct ID.
