Bright green carabid - Chlaenius sericeus

Bright green carabid - Chlaenius sericeus
Hickory Hill Farm, near Dover Plains, Dutchess County, New York, USA
July 2, 2005
Size: 18mm

Carabidae: Chlaenius sericeus
Probably C. sericeus.

Thanks!
With the genus in hand, I tried keying out with Downie & Arnett; only two spp. fit the description: C. sericeus and C. augustus. (the two differ as far as I can tell, in an obscure characteristic of the shape of the metepisternum which I can't make out.)

Based on your ID and the fact that sericeus seems much more common, I think that's almost certainly the correct ID.
