If I carried her inside
from a field trip, I'm glad I wasn't stung this time. They HURT!
We have no Harvester colonies around the house, now I found 2 of these. - are they queens on their way to a new site?

Yes ma'am these are indeed queen ants you can tell by the flat midsection and on the above veiw you can see the nuptial scars about half way down the midsection
