Butterfly on Sulfur Buckwheat (dry) - Pontia occidentalis

Butterfly on Sulfur Buckwheat (dry) - Pontia occidentalis
Grand Teton National Park, Colter Bay, Lakeshore Trail, Teton County, Wyoming, USA

Moved from ID Request.

this is not P. sisymbrii
Based on appearance and location, I'm pretty sure it is Pontia occidentalis.

Checkered white
It's one of the Checkered Whites, genus Pontia. I'll wait for the experts to officially determine which one, but on account of the distinctly pale veins on the lower wing I'm leaning toward the Spring White (P. sisymbrii).
