Could this be the same species? It is also on a scented geranium.

Is it safe to assume this is Miridae?

 
Miridae is certainly a possibility...
...but I couldn't conclusively rule out other families, either.

OK thanks. In case this is relevant. The flower is a scented geranium. It's not a native plant, so I assume this doesn't help much.

Heteropteran nymph of some kind...
I'm not sure I can do any better than that, although it seems to me I've seen something very similar before. I'll keep looking; in the meantime, someone else may be able to further the ID.
