Identification
H. edenata is one of the commonest species of early spring, varying not only in size but also in maculation and coloration.
Genitalia:

A main characteristics is found in the forks of the uncus; these are separated by a deep, but rather variable, excavation and are bent inward and downward apically, terminating in a rather sharp point; vesica with a small, very faint cluster of thin cornuti.
