Det. Roger Burks. When I asked what views would help to get it to genus, he replied: "Here it is tough, because Cecidostiba looks much like Pteromalus. I'd prefer to see a female specimen too in these same views (this one is male) and a flat close-up of the fore wing and face."

Antennae, wing venation, coloration, and finely sculptured thorax indicate this family. Gall midges and gall wasps are frequent menu items.
