Soldier Fly - Odontomyia cincta - Male
Salt Plains National Wildlife Refuge, Alfalfa County, Oklahoma, USA
April 21, 2011
Size: approx. 0.75 in.
I believe this is Odontomyia cincta. However, the space between the eyes appears to be smaller than most images listed in the guide under cincta.
