Podabrus pattoni LeConte
According to my understanding, this is Podabrus pattoni LeConte. It is in complete agreement with they type specimen of P. pattoni at the MCZ. If my understanding of P. laevicollis Kirby is correct, it more closely resembles a pale version of P. puberulus LeConte, except the elytra is darkish testaceous (never black) and the pronotum varies in colour from testaceous to darker (in P. puberulus the pronotum is black with small rosy-pale spots at the anterior angles). The clypeus of P. laevicollis is pale (sometimes with a dark anterior edge) and never black, as in P. pattoni.

sorry, my bad: i was wrong about tribe...
most likely, laevicollis Kby., although pattoni LeC. looks very similar
either way, a new sp. for the guide -- thanks, Peter!
