Celina slossoni

Celina slossoni
Middleburg, Clay County, Florida, USA
May 8, 2011
Size: 4.7mm
Collected at lighted sheet. Keyed using Mr. Epler's (1). The pointed apices
pegged the Genus, the larger size eliminates most of the genera and, although not
obvious in the dorsal photo, the sides of the pronotum are punctate. If necessary, I
will try to take a photo of them. If confirmed, request a guide page. If not, please
set me straight. Mr. Epler states that the species was named for a Mrs. Slosson,
therefore the epithet must end with an "ae", and is thus C. slossonae vice
C. slossoni. I guess that is a rule eh, but I went with the FL Checklist!

Wow, another major screw up. Mr. in my book is a sign of respect.
My son has his PHD, haven't yet learned to call him Dr. either.
